We’re not interested in trying to scare you into our services, or forcing you to sign up for an iron clad contract. Our goal is to give you the knowledge and the confidence to make the right decision for you and your business when it comes to marketing and communications.

Creativity helps us to stand out from the crowd, so we always try to figure out how we can remain at the forefront of the digital landscape without compromising our values. We understand that AI has its place, but it’s not something we use. We believe that personality and communication between people gets the best out of us.

We love coming up with creative solutions, and we believe there’s no such thing as a stupid idea; a suggestion that you thought of as ridiculous might spark something genius further down the line. We lean into our creativity and, in a world where we can take ourselves too seriously, it can be a breath of fresh air!

Our People

Iona St Joseph
Founder

Iona has over 15 years of experience working in the communications industry, including public relations, journalism, marketing, social media and website project management. Starting her career in public relations and social media, Iona worked with clients including Confused.com and the NHS before specialising in clients within food, drink and agriculture. These included AgriScot, RSABI and Lactalis.

Having trained as a journalist, Iona also worked for Buzzfeed UK between 2014 and 2016, coming up with ideas and writing articles that appeared on the Buzzfeed UK homepage and generated millions of views.

Relocating from Scotland to the Lake District in 2024, Iona set up Tarn Creative to give businesses the confidence to be creative and to manage their own communications strategy.
